BLACKBURN CAPTAIN AIMS FOR EPL RETURN

Blackburn Rovers have been in the lower embers of English football for close to s decade but captain Charlie Mulgrew believes that the club can make a push back to the EPL next season. Speaking to the club’s website the Scotland international admitted that the club is keen in making a push for the top six places this season.

Mulgrew mentioned that the renewed experience gained last season in the Championship means that the club can’t be ruled out in the discussions for promotion. Manager Tony Mowbray had added more experience to the team with the signings of Stewart Downing and Bradley Johnson to beef the squad.
