Former Hull City midfielder Corry Evans said that he does not have any regrets for leaving the club.
He said that he had enjoyed his time at Hull City, and it was more the desire to play regular football that convinces him to leave the club.
He said that at that time he was quite young and that he wanted to have regular games to as to help his development. Indeed at that time, Corry Evans was only 22 years old, and he felt that playing regularly could help him progress, and this is why he left the club.
At that time Blackburn Rovers was interested in him, and he felt that he had a better chance of playing week in and week out if he made the move there. He admitted that the Hull City manager came to him at that time but only offered to play him as a substitute. He was not guaranteed any first team football and the club was willing to bring in some new players. Corry Evans is set to join his team mates as he is called up by Northern Ireland for pre Euro 2016 training camp. The first of two Northern Ireland training camps ahead of their historic participation at Euro 2016. The 25-year-old will join up with his international team-mates for four days in Manchester from Monday.
Northern Ireland, who became the first country to win their European Championship qualifying group after being drawn from pot five, will then base themselves in Dublin for five days. Michael O’Neill’s men will then head home to Belfast for a friendly against Belarus at Windsor Park on May 27 before travelling to Trnava for a friendly with Slovakia on June 4. Northern Ireland get their Euro 2016 campaign under way on June 12 when they take on Poland in Nice.
This is the first ever appearance at a European Championship and their first in a major finals since the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. The Northern Ireland International made his first appearance in five weeks in the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest and had undergone a successful operation on a niggling groin injury. Former Manchester United and Hull City central midfielder, Corry Evans currently playing at English Championship side, BlackBurn Rovers, after starting in the last match against Nottingham Forest this week, could return in the encounter against Bristol City.
BlackBurn Rovers hosts Bristol City this weekend as they hope for a victory that has eluded them in the last five matches. The poor run has left the team in 17th position in the English Championship, especially after several key players were out due to injury.

The owner of West Bromwich Albion is believed to be interested in selling the Premier League club and reports are claiming that a Chinese Investment group has already decided to offload £150million in order to take around 88% of the English outfit.
West Bromwich Albion has already confirmed that they have been establishing meetings and reached a phase where an agreement has actually been done and the new owners are expected to take full control of the club before the start of the next season.
These new owners are ambitious and might guide West Bromwich Albion to more signings which would help the club in progressing further.
Jeremy Peace bought West Bromwich Albion back in 2003 and ever since then has helped them in staying at the Premier League and even when the new owners take full control of the team, the current manager Tony Pulis is expected to remain in charge of the squad as his job is believed to not be affect by these changes. Former Inter Milan defender Cristian Chivu is believed to have been a transfer target for Ajax back in 2012.
However, the defender chose to remain at the San Siro for what turned out to be the last two years of his career. He retired in 2014 after having experienced several his including lifting the Champions League with the Italian club in 2010. The former Romanian international is regarded as one of the greatest defenders from his country and he was the guest of honour at the recent Open Day of the Amsterdammers.
Chivu spoke about his love for Dutch football and the transfer offer from Ajax almost 3 years ago. He said that the Dutch club had made an offer for him but since all parties were not fully concerned about the success of a potential deal, they backed out at the final moment.Chivu claims that he was hoping that he would have the chance to complete his career at Ajax, who are regarded as one of the top clubs in European football due to the history. Hull City manager Steve Bruce has admitted that left back Andrew Robertson could leave the club in the summer.
The highly rated left back is quoted by a number of clubs in the Premier league looking to take advantage of Hull’s relegation to the Championship. They are aware that Robertson is a great talent who is more than good enough to play in the top division and that he is likely to be unhappy at the prospect of playing in the Championship. This could see them get Robertson on a relatively cheap transfer fee, but Bruce is determined to sell him for a sizeable amount nonetheless.
The former Sunderland manager has valued the player at £ 30 million – the same as former Southampton left back Luke Shaw. The valuations for homegrown players like Robertson has shot up in recent years and it could go up once again after the Premier League revealed that they could tighten up the homegrown quota once again. After having signed him for just under £ 3 million, Hull City are ready to make a sizeable profit on their investment. Blackburn Rovers was knocked out of the FA Cup after losing against Liverpool in the 2nd leg which was played on April 8 at Ewood Park and a solo goal from Coutinho was enough for Liverpool to knockout the Championship League club.
Defeating Liverpool was one of the accomplishments that the 24 year old centre-back of Blackburn Rovers, Corry Evans was hoping to make but it did not happen as Liverpool won by the minimum margin with a scoreboard of 1-0.
Corry Evans still has another goal in mind that he wants to reach with Blackburn Rovers and it’s to earn a promotion spot back to the Premier League but this is also far-fetched as his club is positioned way too far away from the playoff positions and taking into consideration that the league has less 5 matches to be played, Blackburn Rovers mathematically cannot reach a promotion spot to the Premier League.

Corry Evans says that he is left impressed with the impact made by Blackburn Rovers’ new signing, Jay Spearing.
The Bolton Wanderers midfielder has moved to Ewood Park on a short-term loan spell in order to get first team football. He may have featured in 27 matches so far this season, butSpearing has come in to partner Evans in the centre of midfield. After being in contention for a play-off spot only a few months ago, Blackburn Rovers have slipped down the table due to poor form. Having had just one win in the last five matches, Blackburn are currently outside the top ten.
Evans says thatSpearing has taken no time to settle into the midfield. Further, the fitness levels shown by the former Liverpool midfielder are so good that it feels likeSpearing has been part of this group of players since the start of the season. Since Spearing left Bolton, the club has been able to climb out of relegation trouble. They have been able to establish a 10 point buffer between them and the relegation zone. Hull City manager Steve Bruce was not happy with the way referee Chris Foy did not send off Gary Cahill for his second yellow card. Chelsea took on Hull at Stamford Bridge and they managed to win the game comfortably 2-0.
The task of three points for the West Londoners was made a little easy in the second half after the referee sent off Hull’s Tom Huddlestone with a second yellow card. His two rash challenges meant that Hull were not able to put up much of a fight in the closing moments of the game. Bruce reckons that Chelsea should have also been reduced to 10 men.
Bruce has recalled the incident in the second half when Cahill appeared to simulate a challenge in order to earn a penalty. Neither a penalty nor a booking was given and this turned out to be a crucial moment in the match. Read more »
