Corry Evans went through an underwhelming debut season as a player of Blackburn Rovers after picking up an injury that took him out of the 2^nd period of the previous campaign and the defender only managed on making 21 appearances for the Championship club but the head coach of the squad, Gary Bowyer is expecting Evans to fully recover from his recent injury issues as well as making his return from playing at the international stage with Northern Ireland.

Bowyer told reporters: “Corry is fine but we just wanted to give him a few more days as he was away with his country until the first week in June. We were more than happy for him to play in those games as he missed a big chunk of last season. It was a massive loss to us when he got injured. Credit to him, though, he came back from the injury and toward the end of the season he showed the quality he possesses his performance at Charlton, for example, was huge’’.

“So it was good for him to keep ticking over and play against two very good teams in Uruguay and Chile and now we can’t wait to have him back. He’s had a good rest and now we’re hoping he can have a really good pre-season and show what a good player he can be’’

The 23 year old defender was featured in the latest friendly matches of Northern Ireland as they locked horns with Uruguay and Chile. Evans was given time off from the initial pre-season stages of Blackburn Rovers as a way to cool down and give him enough rest from his international duties before kicking off with the club schedule and avoid any further unnecessary injuries.

Bruce Continues Good Performance

Steve Bruce has been making history with Hull City ever since he joined the Premier League club on June of 2012 when the club was battling it out in the 2^nd tier league of England at the Championship League but in the debut season of Steve Bruce in his first campaign in charge of the squad, he guided the team to the Premier League.

The following season Hull City reached the finals of the FA Cup for their first time and they managed to avoid the bottom relegation spots of the Premier League as they concluded the season by claiming the 16^th spot.

The former Sunderland coach is an admirer of Sunderland’s Adam Johnson and the club is preparing an offer of €5 million for the midfielder. Nicklas Bendtner is another target of Hull City as the Danish striker is reaching the last few weeks of his contract at Arsenal before he becomes a free agent and this Hull City the opportunity of signing him on a free transfer.

The staff members of Hull City don’t want to spend a substantially high amount of money by signing new players into the club which is why the English club is keeping close tabs on performers who are economically viable and this is the case with Joleon Lescott as well who was released by Manchester City a few weeks ago.

Joleon Lescott was not offered a new by Manchester City when his contract ran out after only being able to make 10 league appearances as he fell behind the pecking order of Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium.

Hull City will have a difficult task trying to sign Joleon Lescott as the defender is also being tracked down by Aston Villa, West Ham, and the German side Schalke 04.
